The Titans are probably Aroundsquare's most well-known begleri design, dating back to 2016 and the origins of the modern begleri community. The design was thoroughly considered and became a favourite due to its comfortable shape, rounding, control, and countless minor details. While the original titanium Titans were sized 19mm x 19mm, the aluminum version was up-sized to 20mm x 20mm at the time, in order to give them a little more weight to satisfy player preferences at the time. Over time, preferences for weight have come down gradually, as players have grown to appreciate the nimbleness and responsiveness of slightly smaller and lighter beads. This new version of our classic Titan AL Sports, the solid aluminum edition, has been updated to reflect current tastes, with a new 19mm x 19mm size, identical to the original titanium model.
The new 19mm x 19mm size Aluminum Titans feels perfect for the current era of begleri play. They're smaller, lighter, and more nimble than any of their predecessors. The dimensions will feel super familiar to anyone who has logged hours on the OG Titans, but the new weight is very responsive, fun, and satisfying, without compromising anything in terms of performance. These beauties weigh in at just over 10g per bead, putting them right in the sweet spot for most players' preferred weight. The rounding and finishing is perfect, with a smooth polish topped by a lovely anodized layer which slightly hardens the relatively soft aluminum material. Note that these will definitely get dinged and scuffed over time, often taking on a hammered appearance. Best to see this as a feature and not a bug, as the set records your play history across its surface, and takes on a look and feel that is completely yours.
They come with a couple extra strings, a couple stickers, an info card, and a canvas carry bag. Stickers, bag, and cord colours may not be as shown, since these change with availability.
