Mala - 15mm Beads Exotic Metal Editions

Aroundsquare's take on the classic mala beads, a wearable worry bead set used around the world to focus the mind and steady the nerves. The beads have a satisfying weight and crisp clack when they hit together during bead counting. 

Our mala bead bracelets are uniquely strung on our custom made 2mm high density Kevlar cord. Each set consists of 15 x 15mm Exotic beads, with an 11.8mm Exotic micro boss bead, and four matching 8mm beads on the tassels. The beads are technically wearable, and come strung with a triple overhand knot to help lock in the size adjustment below the Boss bead, but it should be noted that the size and weight of these beads gives them a substantial feel on the wrist, which may not be to everyone's taste. 

While the smaller and lighter sets have their place, there is something really unique about having a set of large beads like this, hefty in the hand, and designed specifically for breath work, bead counting, and meditation. It's a little bit hard to articulate, but the fact that these sets are decidedly NOT for flipping, somehow moves them into a different category of thing, and encourages us to slow down and work more on the things they are designed for. It's a bit like having fewer apps on your phone, or fewer papers on your desk.. it structures your mindset for what you want the thing for. 

Zircuti Edition: 

This incredible edition is precision machined from a solid billet of ZircuTi. The material is forged from folded layers of titanium and zirconium, then precision machined, polished, and torched to create eye-popping colour patterns.

Each piece is quite unique, with its own grain patterns and colour differences. The bright colours of the torched titanium contrast with the dark zirc tones to create something truly special. The photos provided are all unedited, and shot with bright indoor lighting, to give a true depiction of what you’ll be getting.

Mokume Edition

This beautiful edition is precision machined from a solid billet of mokume gane. This unique material is made from fusing together layers of metals, and working the billet into a patterned material that almost resembles wood grain. When machined to our specifications, the grains of the material become exposed in a way that accentuates the appearance of the curves, creating a beautiful pattern.

• All beads precision machined from mokume gane, polished, and untreated in order to allow for the natural oxidization process which will accentuate the colour differences and grain patterns

Zirconium Edition

These beautiful zirconium models are precision machined from solid zirconium, and then polished and torched to a gorgeous finish. The material has a deep grey/ black finish, which has the appearance of some depth.

Mokuti Edition

This incredible edition is precision machined from a solid billet of MokuTi. The material is forged from folded layers of different titanium grades, then precision machined, polished, and torched to create eye-popping colour patterns.

Each piece is quite unique, with its own grain patterns and colour differences. All pieces range from deep purple to blue to grey, and include lighter orange/ gold striping. The photos provided are all unedited, and shot with bright indoor lighting, to give a true depiction of what you’ll be getting. The pieces depicted are quite representative of the range. To accommodate preferences, we have sorted these into pieces that have more of a blue colour range, and those that have more purple. Note that all pieces have a blending of blue and purple, and often, one side is a slightly different colour than the other, so please understand that colour preferences can't be strictly accommodated.. (but you know us, we'll do our best for ya).
